RI President 2018‐19 Barry Rassin. Message July 2018

One year ago, your Rotary International Board of Directors adopted a new vision
statement, reflecting our aspirations for our organization and its future. It reads, “Together, we see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.” » Read More

Ron D. Burton, Trustee Chair 2018-19

About a year and a half after I joined my Rotary club, I terminated my membership because I missed four consecutive meetings. That was the rule at the time. I’ll freely admit – I didn’t care much for the food or the weekly meetings. I didn’t think they were the bestuse of my time. » Read More

Dear friends,

Here we find ourselves at the beginning of a new Rotary year, 2018-2019. This is a good opportunity to look at what we have accomplished over the past year, analyze our own activity and set ourselves more daring objectives. We should thank those who have led District 2452 over the past year, PDG 2017-2018 Christina Covotsou-Patroclou and a team who has achieved amazing results for all the Rotarians of our District.

In general, July is an important month for the organization of the clubs in our District 2452, for review our Club’s Bylaws, vote the club’s budget and start club’s committees to implement projects. Teams change, priorities and objectives are set. It is a natural process within our organization as it strengthens the team of almost 2100 Rotarians.

Barry Rassin, our distinguished Rotary International president, also began his mandate on the 1st of July. He describes

the role Rotarians have in their community, very clearly. All these opportunities may seem small and unimportant. But, let me assure you, they are not. Everything you do matters especially to the people you help. As Barry Rassin stated, we need to ensure to“Be the Inspiration”, Theme for 2018-19.

I am eager to contribute myself, alongside each and every Rotarian in District 2452 to implementing projects focusing on the District customized Area of focus “basic education and peace building” and community development in our communities. This is the only way to build a solid foundation for the development of future generations, as the District 2452 theme is “Youth is our Future”.

I wish you great success! With deep friendship
